I have heard that mainframe environment and database is highly secure and intrusion into the system is not easy but do not know the reason.
Is it because of the locking mechanism that DB2 and CICS uses for file processing??
Why is it so?? |

Locking is a term related to protection against concurrent processing
of resources
Mvs security is a completely different thing and is only related to
operating system design and features
on how to prevent/allow access to resources |
