Hi
Thought I will share this with you guys
Many of you might be using mutliple screens while you are working. Here is a tip on how to switch screens easily
I guess you might be aware of switching the screen by entering 1 and PF9 or <screen number> + PF9. But its not easy to remember which screen is spool and where you are coding.
So use "scrname" command to give names to ur screens for eg type "scrname jcl" for the screen where you are coding
and "scrname spool" for the spool. "scrname cobol" for the cobol code screen.
Name the rest of the screens as you wish.
Now u can switch to the jcl screen by entering "jcl" on the command line and press PF9 and then to spool using "spool" and PF9
Also you can give list + PF9 to get the list of the screens with the user defined names. |

Or further spool has the default screenname of sdsf
you can switch to spool easily by using command "sdsf" + PF9
similarly to tools "tools" + PF9...
I am not sure if the default screen names are specific to the box |

Just remember that PF9 might not be the same for everyone (I guess for you it was assigned to SWAP).
