Hi,

We are facing the problem of console buffer full very frequently. To resolve this issue, can anyone suggest the solution(s) for the same with required jcls.

I thought of this resolution- Adding page set datasets would resolve the issue. But, I dont have required jcl(s) for the same.

Any more suggestions???

Hi Murali,
it' s not easyto debug such a problem without looking at the relevant MVS messages related to buffer shortage.

Searching thru the manuals starting from the message ID might give
You a starting point

Usually such event is due to some badly defined parameters,
offline consoles not flushing buffers
automation consoles slow in reading messages

sorry, but there is very little we can do without the message sequence.

Also I do not remember that adding page datasets would solve such a problem

Hi Enrico,

Problem resolved by adding 2 page datasets to the existing environment. Got the JCL from one my freind.

Just curious, never happened to me,
what were the messages filling up the console buffers?
if the were "IRA***" you solved the problem by getting rid of the cause;
still I wonder about the cause

1. Problem (this contains a hint about the resolution)
2. Resolution (in detail)

So I have not seen the messages. Anyway I had asked for this after your first post. Will let you know the messages once im in receipt of it.
