Is there anyway to write into an already existing VSAM file via REXX??

Not with EXECIO. You can use calls to IDCAMS (REPRO) or other utilities, or try something like RXVSAM, which you can download and install from the CBT Tape file 268.

Relational Architects (RAI) offers full blown REXX to VSAM interface.
