I have a base cluster containing thousands of records. I want to create an AIX containing certain fields only. Supose, the field positions of the record in the base cluster is like this:
1-9, 10-12, 13-20, 21-31, 32-36, 37-44, 45-52, etc.
Now, AIX has to be created for the fields positioned - 1-9, 21-31, 37-44, etc. Could anyone let me know as how this can be created using IDCAMS? |

Is that three AIXs?
Or one AIX with a three part non-contigous key? |

I think you will find that the key must be contiguous......
Once you decide what your requirements are, then the key structure can be decided upon.... |
