i PDF'd some articles from DB2 magazine discussing the topic of this tread.
I found it easier to attach my PDF than to go find all the links again. There are plenty of info links in the articles.
Though this REDBOOK is for DB2 9, it was suggested by a piece in
IBM Systems Magazine as suggested reading for everybody.
The Redbook contains great info on Packages and plans.
