I am getting -134 error when comapring the 2 longvar variables. Pls let me know how can i compare them through a Db2 Query

You need to explain what is the definition of 'longvar variables' or by this what are you referring to?

SQL code -134:
Quote:
A long string was referenced in a context in which long strings are not allowed. For an exhaustive list of such contexts, refer to Varying Length Character Strings in Chapter 3 of SQL Reference.


Start using proper terminology. If you still can't understand why your query is returning the -134, post your sql, ddl and we can help.
