When you compile your MFS - check the JCL for the compile to see where the compiled version is going. If you are in test and the compile reflects the correct library, you should see the changes immediately if there were no errors. If all that is OK, stop and start your test region.

Hello,

Did you (or did you ask the DBA to) stop and restart the test region as Sandy suggested?

After re-cycling the region, were the changes visable?

While this is not directly related to your question, it may have info that will be useful for you: http://www.sysed.com/DnLoads/QualityContents/IMSMFS/04a_402C01MFds.pdf

You may also want to spend some time in the IMS documentation linked to via the "Manuals" link at the top of the web page.

hi all,
finally found a way out of this and trust me its a long procedure...
1) first make the changes in the map and compile it..
2) then in the dc region issue /modify prepare all
3) then /modify commit
the above command makes the active libraries inactive and inactive lib active
4) now run the online utility change
5) again repeat steps 2 and 3
This will bring abt the changes that are made...
Hope it helps... icon_smile.gif
