As IDCAMS will meet your requirement, why would you not use it?

i don't want to execute a jcl.
is there ant tso command to rename a vsam file.
help me out!

Any particular reason why you would not wish to run a JCL.

YES there is a way to do this without running a JCL, build your IDCAMS statements into a DATASET, and then execute that dataset.

Had you of course searched the forums here you would have found various examples of executing IDCAMS statements from within a TSO environment.
