Hi,
I am trying to extract selective segments of the IMS database using teh Batch option in the INSYNC utility for IMS Database.
I get the following abend..
REQUESTED MODULE DFSVCI00 NOT ACCESSED, IS IN NON-APF LIBRARY/CONCATENATION
SYSTEM COMPLETION CODE=306 REASON CODE=0000000C
After trying to run the JOB multiple times, one of the tries succeeds.
Well, the datasets used in the JCL are production IMS DB Datasets and it is possible that the prod. jobs are using them.
Will that be the reason for teh above error? If so, then what does the DFSVCI00 module do and what is NON-APF LIBRARY/CONCATENATION?
Any pointers on the issue and how to resolve it/what exactly it means, would be of great help.

In addition to the DFSRESLB DD statement, the EXEC parameter SRCH, which is allowed on selected batch procedures, also affects the library search order. When SRCH=1, IMS searches the link pack area and directories prior to searching any other library. When SRCH=0 and the DFSRESLB DD statement is specified, IMS searches only the specified library and does not search the link pack area.
The following modules must be loaded from an authorized library during the IMS batch initialization:
DFSABND0
DFSAOSF0
DFSAOS70
DFSBC000
DFSCBT10
DFSFSWA0
DFSKPXT0
DFSMODU0
DFSRTM00
DFSSPF00
DFSSTM00
DFSTOPR0
DFSVCI00
DFSVCI10
