Hi,
I am trying to print content of a dataset using fileaid PRINT option. As my file is having 600 lrecl and I am trying to print in vertical format, data is getting truncated after 133 cols. I want full content of a flat file in vertical format. Can this be done using FILEAID? |

Hi,
I hope you are talking about
START 3.4/Utilities/option 6
of ISPF, if yes then we can't change this LRECL of 133, this is a system default.
(Still, I would like to have some more inputs for the answer of the question of OP from others.) |

I am talking about FILEAID/PRINT/Data file. In fileaid a file can be viewed with fields mapped to a layout. This view can be printed to a dataset or sysout. After opening the file in browse mode, printing can be done using VPRINT command. There is a separate option given in the first screen itself to do the same. This is working fine for anything less than 133 LRECL. It is also mentioned in FILEAID that record length 125 is forced on the output dataset if mentioned. Though I have found it is 133. Is there any way out available in FILEAID? |
