Is it possible to find the attributes of a multi-volume dataset.
LISTDSI will fetch and give the details of first volume alone.
Will LISTCAT give info. on LRECL, ALLOC SPACE for Seq. dataset.
I tried "LISTCAT ENT (filename) all" i cud not get all necessary info. |

Try the ISPF service DSINFO. It will also provide you with information regarding the number of volumes allocated.

Expat,
can you explain me how to use DCOLLECT
I can take all necessary info. manually by using SAVE LIST.
I can do this by entering the filename in the dsname level with space option selected. Then i will 'SORT TRACKS' and SAVE LIST. i will get information on datasets in a file named 'USERID.LIST.DATASETS'
The same i need to do in an automated way. Is there any way? |
