Settings to be done when we get a mainframe id

Hi ,

Could anyone send me some documents for the settings to be done ,
initially when we get mainframe id,

because when i try some commands they are not working

Hello,

If you have a problem, you need to post what the problem is - "not working" will get "no response".

If you won't post what you tried and what "didn't work", we cannot help. This includes any and all error messages, abends, etc.

There are no specific settings to be setup by the user,
You will be able to make changes from the defaults settings, after You gain more experience and You will want a customized working environment.

The systems support people, and the help desk,
after providing with a userid, should provide You with a little bit of doc on
the standards used at Your site in order to get You started on the system

For your local user id profile settings first check with your peers or your team lead or manager

I still wonder about what commands are "not working". . .

My first thought was permissions, but with no info, it is tough to help.
