Hi,
I want to refer to JESYSMSG of a JCL while executing the same JCL..
For ex, i have 2 steps in a Job. Step1 writes some info in JESYSMSG and step2 of the same job needs to get that info from JESYSMSG. how to acheive this?
Can I get the temporary dataset allocated for writing that JESYSMSG in spool of that job? |

I think that JESYSMSG is something that you might not be able to direct to a dataset. You might be able to access it via SDSF as a next step. |

Easy and doable. You can use batch SDSF commands to access any job output, even within the same job. Look for many examples by searching this forum for "batch SDSF", or simply refer to the fine manual (the BATCH section).

Hello,
I believe this is the same as your "other" post on the same question.
Please look at the reply to that message and do not post the same question multiple ways. . .
Thank you. |
