| How can we know whether a VSAM file is updated or not in a step? One way is to take backup before the step run and compare the two files.I am curious whether a byte is set or there is some utility command like IDCAMS command to know whether the file was updated in the step or not? |

Would not the program give any statistics from its processing,
e.g. nnn Records updated in master file ?
or something similar. Most well written and documented programs do that sort of thing. |
