If u use DFSORT's Icetool, u have an option as DATE(MD4-).

this will give u the current date in MM-DD-YYYY format.

aqilis,

Here's a DFSORT job that will do what you asked for:

Code:

//S1    EXEC  PGM=ICEMAN
//SYSOUT    DD  SYSOUT=*
//SORTIN DD *
//SORTOUT DD DSN=...  output file
//SYSIN    DD    *
  OPTION COPY
  OUTFIL REMOVECC,NODETAIL,
    TRAILER1=(DATE=(MD4/))
/*
