Hi,

Could anyone tell me what MOD3 and MOD9 DASD volumes are.

As far as I understand, MOD3 is a single 3390 volume and MOD 9 simulates a volume that is 3 times the size of MOD 3.

But I am not sure. And would like to know some details about these 'simulation' stuff and the advantages etc.

thanks in advance for any help!

Thanks Shreevamsi, it was informative!

Still, I am looking for an answer to, "What is a Mod 9 volume and how different it is from Mod 3 and its advantages".
