Difference bw Basic and symbolic checkpoint

i searched previous postings on basic and symbolic checkpointing, can anybody give a COBOL example with the difference between the two nad also how to use Extended checkpoint.

Besides the postings you can (again) also search after following the link in my signature. Look for 'symbolic' and 'basic', click Programming DB (symbolic/basic) CHKP and enjoy reading about checkpoint and restart. Have fun icon_wink.gif
