In one of the previous posts I found the following suggestion to link IMS screen to program.

"You have to request your DBA to link the transaction of that DC screen with these components"

We have IMS DC installed in our shop and do not have an IMS DBA per se. So we have to do the DBA activities.

Can any one let me know how can we link the transaction to a MPP program. (It does not access any IMS DB but uses DB2). Also there is no screen involved.

We have a transaction and created and compiled the PSB (done PSBGEN).

Looks like you want this program to be a non-conversational program. You will need a DBD-gen, a PSB-gen and an ACB-gen. For more information follow the link in my signature and search for DBDGEN, PSBGEN and ACBGEN. The latter connects it all to a transaction.

Satya,

Fist I would like to know how much knowledge (if any) is present in your shop. If you don't have a clue of IMS programs my advise is to first read some manuals in order to comprehend this wonderfull system; just making a copy of some application won't help. Trying to explain you all about it through this forum is impossible. There are fine manuals in this site and elsewhere. Also follow the first link in my signature and do some exploring. And, as I asked you in your other post: if your post is not a reaction to the current topic please start a new topic.
