First of all I request the moderator to move this topic to CICS. I hope this will help me to get some replies for this topic.
1. How to define a KSDS file in RLS mode?
I worked on a requirement where I have to update a KSDS file while browsing the file. I tried to acheive this by using READNEXT with UPDATE and TOKEN options. However after clean compiling the program I tested the code and found that the READNEXT command failed because the KSDS file is not defined in RLS mode. After some research I found that READNEXT with UPDATE and TOKEN option cannot be used for a NON-RLS file.
2. How do I know whether my CICS support RLS mode file access?
I altered the FCT entry for that file so that the KSDS file is accessed in RLS mode. After I Altered and Installed the FCT entries I tried to open the file in CICS. Open operation failed because the FCT entry is RLS mode.
3. How to know which version of CICS am I working?
This will help me to know whether my CICS version supports RLS mode file access. |
