Hi all
I have question regarding unit and vol.
I have read meaning of unit and vol.
Unit : Request a device or group of device.
VOL : identifies a volume on which dataset resides or will reside
So, what i understand, unit can be a tape or disk.
But i am not clear what is meaning of VOL.
Need somebody to explain more detail on what is VOL?
And can anybody explain how these Unit and VOL work?
