HI People,
I'm pretty new to this mainframes. We are setting up a new enviornment copying jobs from production to integration(For testing). Everything has been done through.
We have a problem now that in new CA7integration (i don't know how they created it may be replicated from CA7). So many jobs(approx 1200 jobs) are in CA7 requirement queue with status parameter LATE.So we need reduce the jobs in waiting queue or remove them permamnently [b].Now we are posting it manually so is there any wayto automate the process .... Any ways to do that ????guys help me needed urgently. |

HI,
Whatever the stream of Jobs coming into the queue, check it once. I think the problem is due to scheduling all the Jobs at a time,or may the scanner is picking the Jobs all at a time. So if you increase the scanner increment level ,it may pick the jobs a bit late. Contention problem may also increases, and job may abend.Need to do the postings only before they gointo loop. |

Hello,
If you contact CA-7 support and open an issue, they can help. |

Job comes to late status when it misses the DEADLINE TIME. Need to adjust the DUE-OUT TIME and DEADLINE TIME. Also to avoid manual posting need to adjust the lead time. 1200 jobs is not good news. Need attention of your Production Scheduler. |

Oh yes Automation can be done but it is NOT good idea. Instead effort sould be given to fix them permanenently. |
