I was posted with a question
"Is it possible to have VSAMs as GDG files? "
I know the answer 'NO" but cannot substantiate it technically as why not possible?
Can anyone clarify me?

Well, it is certainly NO... and I can not comment on the technical challenges to justify the answer...
but why would one need a VSAM GDG when a VSAM can be backed up on a PS too... and what else do you see significant use of a GDG but filing archives... |
