Hi everybody, 
I would like some help about a question.
In my company, the DB2 don't have triggers between the tables for garanted integrity. The COBOL programs have to validate the references and the integrity between the tables.
My question: The performance for validation the integrity is better in the COBOL programs or directely make in DB2 database? 
I should be understand.

| In our shop we let DB2 handle most of the integrity checks. It also makes better sense to have one place for all integrity checks and not have a one off job/application which violates rules mess up production data. |
