composite primary key means?

composite primary key means how to utlise the database, iam not aware about that pls explain me.

Composite primary key means a primary key that is made up of more than 1 column.

e.g. suppose I define two columns like dept id and emp id as the primary key.

so now the combination of the two values need to be unique.
