Regarding Package and Plan

Hi ,

I was asked a very rare questions about Plan and a Package . . Both Package and Plan are bound why is Plan is executable and package is not . I would appriciate you guys can give a convincing answer .

hi,
The Plan consists of no . of packages.
One of the purposes of Package is to avail binding of programs on remote systems. that means u can bind the programs in one package at one system and no of packages from diff. systems can be included in single Plan.

Only Plan is executable .

Anybody Correct me if i am wrong !

Hi ..
Package is in executable form but you can't execute it without binding to a plan .Plan is just a collection of the packages which contains pointer to the various packages it bound to .

Thanks for the quick reply . I had already got some idea about the plan and package . This information is some thing new which is interesting .
