Hi Let us assume a condition that a file consists of set of records with the
different IBD Keys. I need to sort the file using IBD key. Also I have to count the number of records under each IBD. Finally the number of records corresponding to each IBD should be calculated and displayed in the same file.

What should be given in the SYSIN card of the sort JCL ?

help me in resolving this query?

What is an IBD key? What is the position, length and format of the key?
What is the RECFM and LRECL of the input file?

Please show an example of your input records and what you expect for output.
