Hi all,
The datasets like Load modules dont allow to open in edit mode. It can be only opened in browse mode.
How to run an edit macro in browse mode? |

Yes, you can. But I suspect that will not help you, because the short blocks will be padded w/spaces: you won't be able to exec it as a load module. I'm ASSUMING that's what you intend to do.
Why don't you explain FULLY what you're trying to accomplish? Then we may be able to suggest something that meets your needs or tell you it's not possible. |

Hi mmwife,
Actually I was trying to get the consistency token from the load module. So I tried writing a ISREDIT macro to get that from the load module. But Since Load Module couldnt be opened in Edit mode, it didnt work.
But, I have found the solution to read the records from the load module. By using lmget ispf service, I am able to read the records of the load and get the consistency token.
Thanks for your reply.
Can you explain how the load module can be copied into a flat file?
Thanks,
Antu |
