VSAM to DB2 conversion

Hi,

1. Does any one has any notes on converting VSAM data files to DB2 database ?

2. Does any one has any notes on converting exsisting program using VSAM file to DB2 programs (Cobol code using DB2 commands) ?

3. If I add a column to DB2 table which is used by many other programs do I need to recomplie all the programs using this table ?

YEs there should not be any doubt in that .. once u make any changes in the structure of the table its a good thing to recompile the code which uses or refers that table.
