Making online down through JCL

Hi,

Can anybody tell me the exact function of the following step:

"//STEP1000 EXEC CAFCFILE,HLQ=TZARIS,
// MBR=CLOSARIS "

Please let me know.

The above step is in the job which makes the online down.

It depends on what JCL the proc CAFCFILE contains. Look in the directories of your proclibs and print the member CAFCFILE., then list it here and ask the same ques.

Hi,

we are planning to remove the utility CAFC, and that's the reason I wanted to know are there any CICS commands which can be executed through batch for closing and opening the online files.

Please suggest.
