for 3270 applications, how can I determine the IP address dynamically in a CICS transaction. Is there any way to do so, please help. |

Query: Is the user entering CICS from a session manager? If so it may not be possible. |

yes we use a session manager. I thought, maybe it would be possible however, to get the LU-name of the users session and find out over telnet or tcpipibm the IP address connected to. |

I don't think so. I think the way it works is the session manager builds a new LU to connect to CICS or whatever, and, basically bridges session data from TCPIP LU <-> session manager <-> CICS or TSO or whatever. |
