Hi,
I am trying to link to program A present in Region R1 from Region R2.
I am getting TERMERR in the link command (RESP/RESP2 are 81/17).
EXEC CICS LINK
PROGRAM (A)
COMMAREA (DATA)
LENGTH (LENGTH OF DATA)
Sysid (Ws-sysid) (Value Sysid of region R1)
Transid (Ws-trans-id) (Value ABCD)
Resp (Command-Resp)
Resp2 (Command-Resp2)
END-EXEC
Both the regions are connected thru connection resource.
Transaction ABCD is defined in region R1 and associated with program DFHMIRS.
What could be the reason fo TERMERR?
IBM manual says that "An unrecoverable error occurs during the conversation with the mirror; for example, if the session fails, or if the server region fails."
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Kamlesh |

This is one of those cases where you ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY MUST get your site support group involved. They can help trace the interaction between the regions and determine where the issue is. There are too many potential variables involved for someone on a forum, not working at your site, to even hazard a guess.
Talk to your site support group. |

Thanks Robert
I checked with the CICS Admin and found that access was not provided to USER id to execute mirror transaction id in remote region. Issue is resolved now.

As I said, there are times when you MUST talk to the site support group. A forum can help with many issues, but not all of them -- sites can have things set up too many different ways for a forum to be able to provide definitive answers in some cases.
But glad to hear you got it resolved. |
