Hi,
I need to find a string at a particular location in a GDG, some of the generations of the GDG have been migrated and the SRCHFOR utility does not really work for the migrated GDG generations and am also not able to mention the position in the file where am looking for the serach string.
I have serached the forum for this but could not really find anything.
Would I be able to get a list of all files in which the string exists at that "specific localtion" somehow. |

I know of no way without first recalling the migrated generations. |

Yes ofcourse, just use the GDG base as input.
That way all the generations would be read from oldest to the newest.
Then use a sort step with an INCLUDE condition |
