Can some one please help me in extracting the tape attributes through REXX(LISTDSI - does not supports the Tape datasets). Particularly the last reference date. also need to know is there any other way of getting this details without using CA- TMS.

| Talk to your site support group. What information is available and how to get it depends upon the site, so only someone working at your site is likely to be able to help you. Why do you not want to use CA-TMS? |

Thanks for your quick response Robert, My requirement is to extract the unused tape datasets so for that I need the last reference dates. Though I have TMS I want to extract the dates for 'n' number of datasets, instead of doing manually I want them to have those details on batch mode or through automation.
If it can be done through CA- TMS please let me know. |

| Have you talked to your site support group? The CA-1 installation process includes a sample library with many TMS reports that can be set up to execute automatically, including reports on scratch tapes and unused tapes, so it is entirely possible that what you want is ALREADY being generated at your site. If not, member TMEXPDT of the Earl source data set from the installation process should give you a starting place. |
