Dear All,[]
I want to find the LOAD MODULE Dataset name of my CICS region? is it possible.to find it on CICS region itself??
2) i want to set new LOAD MODULE Dataset name to my CICS Region.. ! what command we have to use to make a new load module for all cics program?
I am not able to find the current load module DSN? so its throws APCT ABEND while sending the map using CECI SEND MAP() Mapset()??
i have checked everything is fine.. i think once i mapped my load module path to CICS region everything will be fine..
Warm Regards, |

Hello,
Suggest you ask your CICS support how this is done on your system.
If this is a replacement to an existing module all that may be needed is a "newcopy". |

The CICS load library is a concatenation in the CICS JCL with DD name of DFHRPL. I don't believe you can identify the libraries within the region -- only by looking at the JCL. Once the program is compiled into a library the CICS region can access, you must do a NEWCOPY on the program to get the new version into CICS.
The best way to find out what you're asking about is to contact your site support group and work with them as they should be aware of site specific items such as DFHRPL library names. |

Both Robert and i mentioned newcopy. . . If you are not familiar with this, you definitely should use the support people.
Also, if no one was to use the support people, they would not be needed. . . |

What do you want to upgrade?

You would receive better ideas here if you posted a better question. Our replies are completely limited by what is posted/asked. . .
Some of what you may be looking for is in the CICS documentation available via the "IBM Manuals" link at the top of the page. |

Yes, as Robert mentioned earlier, the load module datasets for the cics region are listed in the DFHRPL DD dataset concatenation. It is very often not a single pds. |

there is no CICS command.
But in SDSF, if you look at the JOB for the cics region,
you can locate the application loadlib (probably a concatenation of several)
under the DD Reference name DFHRPL.
I realize that the above is a repetition
of what Robert and Dick have already posted,
but maybe if you have to read the same message enough times,
it may finally register
I have been DS'd again!!!! |

See INQUIRE LIBRARY to find the data set names associated with DFHRPL. I'm not sure how this handles dynamic DFHRPL concatenations. I assume that you can run INQUIRE LIBRARY interactively through CECI if you have authority but I don't have access to my system right now to test it. Inquire Library is not available on CICS V2 and has less function on V3 than on V4.1
As for issuing CEMT SET PROG() NEWCOPY, many sites don't want you to do your own program refresh and require that such updates be made by an administrator. As others have said, check with your site admins. |
