ASP3 abend while retrieving data from a db2 table in cics

while retrieving data from a db2 table in cics map i got Abend ASP3

Can anybody tell me what exactly is required to solve the problem..I read the document which says its SYNCPOINT problem..but I am not able to understand as to what actually is required to be done to solve this out.
I am getting this abend when I am trying to fetch values from a table using SELECT statement.

Hi

If the reference manual is not giving sufficient information to rectify your problem, then check your plan name related to the transaction. Either plan name is not valid or there is no plan name specified for the transaction. So CICS uses the default PLAN name which is not authorized for the user.

Yes, You were correct. I defined DB2ENTRY for each of the transaction having desired plan name and it ran fine.

the TS was last active on the forum on Wed Feb 18, 2009
so the chances of getting a reply from him/her/it are pretty slim
