I think the cursor position field is EIBCPOSN not EIBCURPOS.

Hello Swap and welcome to the forum,

When you have a question it is best to start a new topic for your question rather than reply to a topic that has been inactive for multiple years icon_smile.gif

Also, please do not post your e-mail address as there have been spamming problems when outsiders harvest addresses to pester. . .

Good Luck and enjoy the forum.

What do you mean by "dynamic map"? Maps are typically compiled into load libraries and stored in a library in the CICS DFHRPL for access, defined via the PCT as maps, and there's not a lot of "dynamic" about the process.

Is it floating maps ... means the position of the map is not a fixed one?

This doesn't make any sense. BMS maps are fixed to specific locations
on the screen.

CICS panels are neither Windows screens nor X-Windows screens. There is nothing dynamic about the placement of screens you create. CICS doesn't do drag/drop/re-size screen placement.

Hi Earl Haigh

Thanks to your quick response.

I think I am wrong?

But there is an option in BMS while defining map.
LINE=NEXT,COLUMN=number. number form 1 to 80

Here NEXT means the position of the map is not fixed. CICS will fix the position to the NEXT available line on the floating area.

Regards
