Go to DB2 commands in DB2 primary option and issue the below command.

-DIS GROUP or -DIS GROUP DETAIL

You should get some info. You can issue the above command from DSN console as well. (Go to TSO commands and enter DSN, issue the above commands and enter END to come out).

you are welcome..

I often see DB2 Version number when using DB2 tools .Most of the tools displays the version installed.

Let me check if there are any other ways.

Hi vini,

got me. I just looked at my current site and noticed what they give me for a db2 bind output listing, does not tell me the db2 version.

The QMF home page is another place to find it.

Terry,

I think that is the qmf rel vsn.

we are using a v7 precompiler on development machine

db2 v7 on development machine

qmf on development is Vsn 8.1

db2 v8 on production machine.

Last time I had access to a mainframe, it displayed the DB2 version. QMF version was also probably there, but I'm certain about the DB2 version. Two more places to look might be SPUFI and CA-Platinum.

We have File Aid for DB2 in our project. There we can find the version.
