Vijay,

Does your shop setting allow you to access dataset across the regions?

What to do with the query?

Explain your question clearly. I am not getting you what exactly you're asking for.

Route the job to ST from ET..... or directly execute in ST.

Hello,

Make a copy of the file in the et region - you may want to use an "et region" dataset name for the copy.

Which Job is creating this DATA SET in ST region and refer Same Job In ET region. Then Fix it if you find any problem let me know.

Review Your agreements with the client in order that You/Your team
will be provided with
the proper authorities to create/copy the datasets needed to do Your work

or ask the clent to make available the right data in the right place at the right time

it' s called LOGISTICS and can be applied to almost all type of resources

Talk to your people or Admin regard this. One More thing Don't copy/create dataset directly in ET region, Since this might be a problem. Analyse how INPUT(jcl uses only one data set) dataset is created in ST region.

Check all possibilities and get access to do that.

Hi Vijay,

I hope when you say region 'ET' & 'AT' you are talking about two different LPARs. All the suggestion you got are saying you to 'make available' the copy of dataset, which is not present in one of the resions & present in other. When one is suggesting to make a 'copy' try to use some different HLQ, instead of same HLQ of DSN to be copied.

e.g.: In AT region if you have
Code:
SYSS.SLQ.file.of.intrest

try using copying this DSN with the RACF-ID with which you are logged-in to the region. If that region is a Production-region, take a proper access before copying the DSN.

Further, this
Quote:
NOT EVEN AUTHORIZED TO COPY FROM AT REGION

bit hard to believe for me, can you please explain me a bit, why so?

P.S.: Plesae use caps-off mode when you post some query here. Many members don't like CAPS-on mode, however, it's ok with me ..I'm hard of hearing... icon_razz.gif

Vijay,

Speak with your storage team and find out any SHARED VOLUME is present between these two lpars. If you can put the dataset on this volume, you can get rid of the jcl error.

Hi all,

thank you very much for your help.
the solution is that:
I require permission from concerned authority to create data set in ET region or ask them to create the same.

thanks and regards
