1. WHAT IS SCREEN SECTION AND REPORT SECTION?EXPLAIN IN DETAIL?






PLZ SEND ME THIS ANSWER. THIS QUESTION IS ENCOUNTERED WHEN I
FACE THE CGI INTERVIEW.

Hi knsrkrajvarma,

THE SCREEN SECTION & REPORT SECTIONS ARE NOT USED IN MAINFRAMES ENVIROMENT.

But SCREEN SECTION in COBOL are used to set some properties to text or fileds like BRIGHT, PROT, REVERSE-VIDEO, AUTO etc...

REPORT SECTIONS used to generate reports to align the output of the Printer.
