Hi,
RUN UNIT is the IDMS executing program from BIND RUN-UNIT to FINISH.
CURRENCY is the current position where you are in the database. |

just to elaborate about the concept of currency. In IDMS as the name suggest currency is the current position.IDMS/R maintains pointers to a number of different record occurrences as each run unit executes. We use the term currency to refer to these pointers.
IDMS/R maintains four types of currency (Currency Table)
1) Record Currency (Current of record type).
2)Set Currency (Current of set type).
3)Area Currency (Current of area).
4)Run Unit Currency (Current of run unit). |

that most probably the person who posted 3 years ago has already solved his issues,
and/or is not watching the topic/thread any longer
and/or has gained enough proficiency in IDMS to make Your answer pretty useless
- after three years should have, unless ( no offence ) is completely dumb |

Rashmi,
You are to be commended for providing a rather good answer.
but, the most important thing in IT is attention to detail - such as looking at the dates of posts. |
