There is no such command, but there are few methods of doing this. Just search the forum for examples.

My favorite method is to use IDCAMS REPRO to copy the dataset to itself with COUNT(0).

Hi,

you can try DELETE ALL NX when in edit mode

this command is very useful for me. though when the file contains large number of records, it takes a lot of time to open it.

Quanz,

If the no of records is less than a lakh you can use the foll command on the line number of the first record

D99999 - This would delete 99999 records from the file.


This is not an efficient method and often used as a short cut.

You can also you "block delete" command ...(DD...DD)
