Do we able to unload the table into a GDG or Is unload is only into Qsam / Flat files?

a GDG generation is, as You call it, a flat file ...

gdg philosophy has nothing to do with the dataset organization PS in this case
is only, only, only ( repeat a zillion times ) related to allocation and dataset name format
