Do you mean
A pic x(15) value 'FORMULA 1 (1.5%'
?
And what kind of 'run time' error?

Hello,

How does a run-time error happen in an interview?

If the interviewer provided no more info than that, i believe a proper response would be that there is no answer until the specifics are known.
