hi all,
i am facing very serious problem.
By mistake , i copied one source pds to my test pds.
Doing so, it replaced my old membrs which i modified.

to recover that , i then, tried RECOVER command in EZYEDIT.
but it is showing the message as Destination Directory has not enough space
.

So can anyone tell me how to get my old members.
Or is there any way to increase the space of the PDS, so that i can again use the RECOVER command.

Please please tell me as early as possible.

If you have HSM - Restore from the last backup taken using the replace option.

If not - how is this PDS usually backed up ?

Well, if you do not take backups of important libraries and then over write them incorrectly what can I say ?

Have you tried HRECOVER 'my pds name' REPLACE just on the off chance that you do have HSM installed and the PDS is backed up at some stage.

hi all,

let me congratulate myself.
I got all my members without realocating the PDS.

How i achieved this?
1. First i used ALTERDIR command in the EZYEDIT panel where i can increase the directory blocks without realocating the dataset.
2. then i used command RECOVER so that all my Replaced and Deleted datasets i could recover.

Think twice before hit enter.
