Hello,
Do not post copyright material in this forum.
Posting anything that is copyright material may generate a warning or a ban.
If a user is licensed for any product i've ever used, the material is available from the vendor. |

Hi Dick,
What about if a posted link refers to a copyright protected material? Though it is protected but since it is available on the internet there is high possibility of reaching the site through a search engine. So can we post them? |

Hi Dinesh,
Thanks for your follow-up.
Even if copyright material is posted "out there" somewhere, it is better is we do not post links to it here. If our users want to, they can search the web, but we do not want to encourage distributing copyright material on this site. If they really should have the material, it is very easy to get it from the vendor - usually, it can be done from the desktop, eliminating the need to wait for the cd n the mail.
As McMillan posted - when found they will be removed.
Be well |

| Also, it may be possible that the site owner has received the proper authorization from the copyright owner to be able to re-distribute those materials. Those rights don't extend out to other web sites. |

| Dick, just a thought, but would you consider screen snapshots to be Proprietary/Copyrighted? |

Well, if they were from a copyright publication i suppose so.
If they were from an actual user screen, probably not (unless the copyright was shown on the screen).
Not a legal opinion, just MHO. |
