What is the difference between plan and package

what is the diff b/w plan and package,which one will genarate first after the bind process.

package contains the optimize access path, where as plan Contains the package list along with the pointer to that package.So packge will generate first.

Package will generate fast.Package contains the optimize access path where as plan contains package list.
