how to practise coding at home?

i am new to mainframes...how to start workin on mainframes at home..how could i practise all programs

Hi santdivi,
Welcome to mainframe family. in order to work with mainframe u wanna a server setup and all. else u go for some manframe emulators. i think it will help u to do good. else go for a 2-3month course to get an idea about the screen and job settings since u r new it will help u to move fast and gain more.

You have come to the right area where you can come to know Mainframe is all about.

As a follow up I would suggest you that you can go for a training course or get some help from the experienced person.

Very good morning and Welcome to Mainframes WORLD!!!

I think you are in right place for all right kind of suggestions those related to Mainframes.
I dont think you can practice( at home) anything related to Mainframes except COBOL. The mainframes server is not of effordable cost.

Better option is to go for a intensive training in Mainframes and know the prelimary things in Mainframes. Atleast get a overall pictutre of what is Mainframes all about.
Then we all are here to help you out, whatever doubt comes to your mind just post in related forums in this site.
