Hi All,

Assuming that the DEFINE JCL is not available, how do you get info about a VSAM file's organisation? Please help me.

iKnow,

You can use File aid to see the properties of VSAM dataset.

Open fileaid,
Go to option 3.5, type in the VSAM cluster name and press enter. You will get everything - from key pos, key length till CI/CA info

Thanks,
Phantom
