Hi All,

We have prepare a subsytem A by gen of another subsystem B.
Would you please advise how can i compare the structure of these two subsytem like Table ,Indexes, Views,Columns. I need to check if any Alter/Change has been done after Generation of DDL .

Currently I am running the sql for catalogue Table like
SYSTABLE, SYSTABLESPACE , SYSINDEX & Views and then Comparing the output.

DB2 Version:V9NFM
Please advise.

Do you have any tools ?
BMC Change manager does this for you.

I'm sure tools exists to generate a DDL from the catalogue (like OSC). Then you just have to compare the text file.

Hello All,

Thanks for ur input but the problem is we Dont ahve BMC tool. We have only DB2 Admin tool here.

Ekta,
Even from DB2 admin tool, you will be able to generate the DDL. Check for option GEN/DDL from admin tool. Its long time I used it, But I am pretty sure it is available in DB2 Admin tool.

Hello Srihari ,

Thanks BUt I already mention that we already gen the ddl & build new subsytem . Now i want to compare both the subsystem & check if anything has been altered or missed.
